Two servos struck in one night

POLICE are seeking information regarding two alleged break-ins at Derrinallum and Lismore in the early hours of Monday morning.

Warrnambool Police Detective Senior Constable David Hughson said two offenders allegedly forced the door open at the Bowser Bean service station shortly after midnight on Monday, August 26.

“They’ve also forced the cabinet and stolen a significant quantity of cigarettes,” he said.

“They were covered in balaclavas and black clothing, and they left in a dark sedan.

“The two offenders, we believe, have also broken into the Derrinallum Metro Petroleum service station.

“This one appears to have been done before Lismore – about 20 minutes before.”

Det Snr Const Hughson said the offenders allegedly forced the door of the Derrinallum Metro before spending a short amount of time within the building.

“They stole some oil, confectionary, phone chargers and cables, and left,” he said.

“If anyone’s been able to see a suspicious dark vehicle around that time, if they could notify Crimestoppers that would be great.

“If anyone might have been driving around at that time, check their dashcams.”

Anyone with dashcam or security footage of the incidents is encouraged to contact Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000 or Warrnambool Police on 5560 1333.
