Power-ing toward a flag
KOLORA Noorat’s A grade and 17 and under netball sides will be hoping to bring home premiership flags this weekend.
All roads lead to Warrnambool’s Reid Oval on Saturday for the grand final round of the Warrnambool and District Football Netball League.
The Powers’ A graders earned themselves a chance at premiership glory after defeating Allansford in last Saturday’s preliminary final, 28-20.
They will now face Nirranda in Saturday’s grand final match, starting at 2.10pm.
And in the 17 and under competition, Kolora Noorat put in a huge effort across the court last weekend to defeat Old Collegians 34-23 in the preliminary final.
The side will now play Allansford in Saturday’s grand final, starting at 10.30am.
The two clubs first met in round two of the home and away series, with the Power taking the win 27-19 but when they last met, back in round 11, Allansford turned the tables and won 30-27.
A tight tussle is again expected on the weekend, with both clubs eager for a premiership flag.
