Cold weather brings numbers down

AS the days get colder and many head north for warmer weather, player numbers are starting to reduce for Wednesday golf at Timboon.

Last week’s 3BBB (two scores to count) was won by Dawn Wallace, Susanne Wallace and Glenda Edney.

Runners-up were Judy Walsh, Michelle Gristede and Alison Walsh.

Nutrien Ballina 13th - Susanne Wallace.

Nineteen players contested the stroke round for monthly medals last Saturday.

A grade monthly medal winner was Darryle Beames with nett 75 while Wes Hollick took second with 76 and Tori Ziegelaar and Neil Gowland both finished on 77.

The B grade medal was won by Greg Beames with nett 70.

Second was Jack Rowe with 75 from Todd Brunt with 77.

Nearest the pins: 5th Todd Brunt, 7th and 10th Neil Gowland and 14th Wes Hollick.

Thursday’s 12 hole Railway View Hotel chicken day was won by Mick Plozza, from Andrew Grant.

Nearest the pin was Mick Plozza with a hole-in-one on the 12th.

This Saturday, July 6, will be two-person gentsomes with a 10.30am shotgun start.
